Bryn Llys offers a great base for climbers, walkers and paddlers, with easy access into the mountains for rivers and lakes. Situated five minute’s drive from the Ogwen Valley and close to the A5 and A55 expressway, allowing quick access other parts of North Wales and to the coast and island of Anglesey. We are on hand to help you get the most from your time in North Wales, whether it’s some friendly advice on venues or routes, making the best of the weather or if you would like some ideas for future objectives, we are always happy to chat.

Narrow Gauge and Miniature Steam Trains of North Wales
North Wales is home to some of the most famous narrow gauge and miniature gauge railways in the world.

Cycling
North Wales has it all! Whether you are a mountain biker, roadie or just looking for a quiet place to ride, North Wales is a two-wheeler’s dream. The experienced riders will find plenty of marathon-length road routes, and the adventurous will be treated to world-class mountain bike trails. For a more leisurely experience, riders will delight at the miles and miles of car-free tracks, and everyone will be treated to stunning scenery at every turn. Whatever your cycling preference we have it all on our doorstep and as keen cyclists we would love to help you get the most from being out on two wheels – just ask!

There are many beautiful historic and modern gardens to visit in North Wales. Frosts are rarely hard and droughts seldom long, and gardens thrive because of their location benefiting from the warmth and moisture of the Gulf Stream making this an ideal place to grow plants from every corner of the world.
