Activities in the area
Bryn Llys offers a great base for climbers, walkers and paddlers, with easy access into the mountains for rivers and lakes. Situated five minute’s drive from the Ogwen Valley and close to the A5 and A55 expressway, allowing quick access other parts of North Wales and to the coast and island of Anglesey. We are on hand to help you get the most from your time in North Wales, whether it’s some friendly advice on venues or routes, making the best of the weather or if you would like some ideas for future objectives, we are always happy to chat.

If you fancy exploring North Wales at a more leisurely pace then ‘let the train take the strain’. We have a concentration of some of the longest, most historic and most scenic heritage railways in the UK on our doorstep.

If you’re a fan of history, then Anglesey’s beaches and coastline will be for you. Anglesey has a rich maritime history, and you’ll find an array of historical buildings including churches and lighthouses dotted around the island.
The Snowdonia Slate Trail is a 134km (83 mile) trail which enables walkers to explore the beauty and industrial heritage of the slate quarries and villages of northern Snowdonia. Stay with us at the start and finish of this truly unique trail.
The lock down has provided us with great opportunity to explore some of the local footpaths and walks around Bryn Llys as part of our daily exercise allowance. Living in such a beautiful area with access to so many great places its can be easy to take for granted the amazing walks and scenery on our doorstep.
